Novel tumor suppressors in endometrial cancer

CCL2 inactivation suppresses macrophage recruitment in LKB1 tumors

Recent whole-genome sequencing analyses have identified several novel tumor suppressors and oncogenes with major roles in endometrial cancer. However, the biochemical functions of many of these new genes are poorly understood.

We are developing genetic model systems that recapitulate these oncogenic events, to understand the biochemical mechanisms by which mutations in these novel genes drive cancers, specifically in the endometrium.
