Ultra-high-field MRI scanners (7 Tesla) can see the brain in extraordinary detail, but today they suffer from uneven images that limit real clinical and research use. Dr. Henning has developed a new generation of radiofrequency (RF) and shim coils that solve this problem at its source by making the magnetic fields uniform across the brain. Her patented technology combines novel coil design with a smart signal-combination method that removes distortions without complex calibration or workflow changes.
