Awards

Benjamin Lee, M.D., (coauthors: Baig MS, Shih M) won first place in the Challenging Case Competition (Peripheral) at the Cardiovascular Innovations meeting in Denver, Colorado, on July 20-22. His winning presentation was Endovascular Rescue of Axillary Artery Transection After a Motor Vehicle Accident.

 

Announcements

Gilbert Murimwa, M.D., was selected by the Society of Black Academic Surgeons to take part in its Diverse Surgeons Initiative 2.0., which includes sponsorship for two surgical training sessions at the J&J/Ethicon headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Madhuri Nagaraj, M.D., was one of five artists whose work was showcased online by the Association for Academic Surgery. Her watercolor, “Do No Harm,” will be auctioned off to fund the Henri Ford Junior Faculty Research Award.
