Dr. Ibrahim Hashim's article was featured on the front cover of the Medical Laboratory Observer
Dr. Ibrahim Hashim's journal article, “The Clinical Laboratory’s Role in the Diagnosis and Management of Hypopituitarism” took center stage with the front cover feature for the Medical Laboratory Observer, (November, 2019). Using laboratory blood tests as one of the primary diagnostic tools of patients with hypopituitarism, hormone deficiencies are identified and baseline levels are established and monitored to determine the effectiveness of treatment modalities. Hypopituitarism is an often-underestimated endocrine disorder, and evidence suggests it is often missed with significant morbidities. Dr. Hashim works closely with the UT Southwestern Endocrine Neurosurgery team to diagnose and treat this rare condition.
