Open Faculty Positions

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has the following faculty positions available. Applicants for clinical positions must have completed an accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and be eligible for Texas licensure. Salary and academic rank commensurate with candidate’s background and experience.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Biostatistician – Full Time

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks to fill a position in its Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with candidate’s background and experience. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for management of the departmental quality outcomes database.

Candidates must have a doctoral degree in statistics or a closely related field. They must be able to demonstrate potential for excellence in scholarly research and teaching and consulting. They must show an affinity for problem solving, but not necessarily any knowledge of obstetrics, as this knowledge will be enhanced over the course of their employment. It is imperative that the candidate has a working knowledge of an advanced statistical software package to support such analyses as multiple linear regression, logistic regression, Cox regression, and survival analysis, related and independent samples, and general group comparisons such as Student’s t-test, chi-square, Wilcoxon rank-sum, and analysis of variance. As interaction with obstetrics faculty is critical, the candidate must possess clear communication skills and be able to discern project needs to the point of developing an analysis plan and to be able to convey the results in an understandable manner.

Gynecologist – Full Time

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, seeks to fill a position in its Gynecology Division. Academic rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Candidates must have a medical degree; completed an accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology; and have attained or be eligible for Texas medical licensure and certification by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and providing evidence-based clinical care and will join a dynamic division of gynecologists in an ambulatory University-based practice setting. Additional clinical responsibility will be to provide clinical coverage on the Gynecology Service at Parkland Memorial Hospital, and provide teaching and mentoring to our students, residents, and fellows. The remainder of the assignment will be dedicated to teaching and academic functions.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist – Full Time

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks to fill a position in its Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with candidate’s academic accomplishments and experience. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and providing evidence-based clinical care. Principal clinical assignment will be to help further our efforts to grow a premier Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility University-based Practice.
