Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship Program Research and Scholarly Activities

Research training is integrated throughout UT Southwestern's Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship Program and is designed to be flexible and individualized.

Claire Rawls, M.D.

Fellows complete a scholarly project during training, with support to:

  • Develop a research question
  • Design a study
  • Analyze data
  • Present findings

Each fellow works with a scholarship oversight committee tailored to their interests and career goals.

During their research, fellows have access to strong institutional resources, including biostatistics support, clinical data, and experienced research mentors.

Training is hands-on, flexible, and closely tied to clinical care, preparing fellows to pursue academic, clinical, or quality-focused careers. Advanced degrees are available. Fellows can choose to obtain a master's in public health during their fellowship training.
