Dr Kim-Anh Do is Professor and Chair of Biostatistics and holds the endowed Electa C. Taylor Chair of Cancer Research at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the Royal Statistical Society and is an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute. Her research expertise is in the development of clustering and integrative analytic methods for genomic and proteomic expressions. She collaborates with scientists in numerous cancer types by providing comprehensive biostatistics and bioinformatics expertise, in particular computationally extensive statistical methodology and implementation, novel clinical trial design, including Bayesian designs, to ensure the statistical integrity and to optimize data analysis. Her educational goal is to lead the training of multidisciplinary next-generation scientists who can translate genomic knowledge and technology to bridge the gaps between biostatistics, bioinformatics, and computing and their applications to biology, clinical medicine, and public health.
