Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
| We are pleased to announce the upcoming move of the Cecil H. and Ida Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Work is underway to renovate 10,000 square feet into state-of-the-art laboratories for the Center and its new director, W. Lee Kraus, Ph.D., from Cornell University. |
 |
Endowed by Cecil and Ida Green in 1974, the Center was led by Paul C. MacDonald, M.D. until his death in 1997. Under Dr. MacDonald’s leadership, the Green Center enjoyed a national reputation for conducting basic research into problems affecting women’s reproductive health. That reputation was expanded to include research into male reproductive physiology under the leadership of David L. Garbers, Ph.D., who was director from 1999 – 2006. We look forward to writing a new chapter in Green Center research history when Dr. Kraus assumes the directorship in mid July 2010.
