The Division of Mineral Metabolism maintains an active clinical presence at UT Southwestern. Under the leadership of Dr. Khashayar Sakhaee, the Division is committed to excellence in clinical care. There are two specialty clinics in the Aston Ambulatory Care Center staffed by Division physicians, the Bone Clinic and the Stone Clinic.

The Bone Clinic is headed by Dr. Clarita Odvina and sees patients on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. While this clinic treats a wide variety of bone disorders, the primary focus is the treatment of osteoporosis. This clinic operates a Hologic QDR 4500 for bone densitomety measurements.

The Stone Clinic is headed by Dr. Margaret Pearle of the Department of Urology. This clinic focuses on the medical management of nephrolithiasis.

In addition to staffing these clinics, all Division physicians also participate in rounds at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
