Welcome to Graduate Medical Education (GME) at UT Southwestern Medical Center The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas offers more than 20 residency and over 60 clinical subspecialty/fellowship programs located on the campus and four family practice programs located in surrounding cities. The University has also partnered with The Seton Family of Hospitals to oversee 10 residency programs in Austin. All programs meet the accreditation standards of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). In addition to the ACGME-accredited programs, several departments offer clinical fellowships accredited by their specialty boards, including ABOG and ADA. There are also clinical fellowships approved directly by the Texas Medical Board. The program directors and their departments conduct the recruiting, training, evaluating, and managing of the programs. The Associate Dean for Medical Education and the Graduate Medical Education Committee are responsible for general and accreditation oversight of these training programs.
