Alfred Gilman, Johann Deisenhofer, Joseph Goldstein, and Michael Brown) , 18 members of the National Academy of Sciences, 21 members of the Institute of Medicine and 13 Howard Hughes Investigators.

UT Southwestern Medical Center has an NIH-sponsored Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) since 2007 and provides the opportunity to obtain clinical research training in a Department of Clinical Sciences that has become the model for institutions across the nation.

Children’s Medical Center Dallas , our primary pediatric teaching hospital , is ranked by US News and World Report as a Top Ten Children's Hospital in their 2009 compilation of Best Children's Hospitals.
