It is common knowledge that university staff have and will continue to transport packages on the campus shuttles.  The unknown contents of these packages being transported throughout campus and their possible threat of spill and/or release deem it necessary for a policy directing the appropriate methods of transport be created. The Intra-University Transport of Biological and Chemical Hazardous Material Policy lists the standards for packaging of hazardous materials for university transport.  The policy covers non-commercial transportation of hazardous materials within the contiguous university property and is consistent with OSHA, CDC, FDA, USDA, DOT, and IATA regulation.
