1965: Jack W. Bonner III, M.D., Greenville Hospital System professor of clinical neuropsychiatry and behavioral science; has been selected as the recipient of the 2009 Distinguished Mentor Award by the Academy of Distinguished Educators.  He also is the medical director of behavioral health services of the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center and Marshall I. Pickens Hospital and Chair, Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine in Greenville, S.C. Dr. Bonner also was the 2009 faculty nominee for the Humanism in Medicine Award of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
