Aims

  1. Evaluation of renal artery stenosis.
  2. Identification of renal vein thrombosis.
  3. Detection of intrinsic renal parenchymal disease.
  4. Evaluation of renal artery flow patterns following surgical or interventional procedures.
  5. Identify aneurysms and dissection.

Indications

  1. Hypertensive patients.
  2. Uncontrolled hypertension or sudden increase in systemic blood pressure.
  3. Documented abdominal or flank pain.
  4. Abdominal bruit.
  5. Increase in BUN or creatinine levels.
  6. Follow-up or surgical or interventional procedures.
