The SRA retreat will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008 in the T. Boone Pickens Auditorium on north campus (NG3.112) from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The format is a morning session comprised of overview presentations by each of the 8 surgical departments. Afternoon session will consist of informal poster presentations by residents, students, and fellows
Agenda is as follows:

Eight 30-minute presentations by one representative from each department (20 minute presentation and 10 minute discussion). Each presentation should be a general overview that highlights the major areas of interest in each department |

Morning program will be organized by Jerry Niederkorn, Ph.D.
Poster session will be organized by Fiemu Nwariaku, M.D. and Babu Welch, M.D.. Details about the poster presentations will be distributed prior to the retreat.
The goals of the retreat are:
- Familiarize all of us to the research activities in the surgical departments
- Foster interactions among investigators in the 8 departments
- Promote discussions for furthering the activities of the SRA
- Define our long-range goals and how we should proceed
We will have a debriefing and discussion of the retreat the following Monday (August 18, 2008) at 6:30 AM in E6.224).
