Who Should Attend

Physicians interested in learning the latest innovations and advances in surgical and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, as well as breast and body contouring surgery.

Purpose and Content

Attendees will become familiar with the latest techniques and advances in cosmetic surgery. The focus will be on controversies and advances in facial, breast and body contouring procedures including surgical management of the massive weight loss patient and new nonsurgical options for facial rejuvenation. The new role of silicone breast implants in breast augmentation will be presented.

Educational Objectives

At the end of the program, the attendees should be able to:

  • Discuss surgical options for facial rejuvenation
  • Discuss the differences in the various agents available for soft tissue augmentation
  • Describe advanced techniques utilizing botulinum toxin type A and soft tissue fillers for facial enhancement
  • Discuss different options for breast augmentation including silicone gel implants
  • Describe the advances in surgical and nonsurgical body contouring procedures
  • Discuss surgical management of the massive weight loss patient

Registration includes continental breakfasts, breaks, lunches, and Thursday evening snacks for the lab participants. Anatomy lab participants will also receive a facial anatomy dissection DVD during registration at the hotel. Registration for the anatomy lab is limited and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Please do not make travel reservations unless your registration has been confirmed.

Included with the registration for the Dallas Cosmetic Surgery Symposium is the “Advances in Cosmetic Medicine/Hot Topics in Cosmetic Surgery” course. If not registering for the Dallas Cosmetic Surgery Symposium, a registration fee of $450 UT Southwestern Alumni / $500 Non-Alumni will be charged for the additional course. Poster Session / Abstracts
Posters displaying new and innovative techniques related to Cosmetic Surgery, Cosmetic Medicine and Rhinoplasty will be displayed at the symposia.

Please submit your poster electronically for approval to CosmeticSurgery@utsouthwestern.edu by February 1, 2011. Must be registered to participate.

The Office of Continuing Education reserves the right to limit registration and cancel courses, no less than one week prior to the course, should circumstances make this necessary.

Refund Policy

A handling fee of $200 for the Cosmetic Surgery Symposium will be deducted from cancellation refunds. Refund requests must be received by mail or fax prior to February 28, 2011. No refunds will be made thereafter.
