Admission Requirements
Students may pursue either a Bachelor of Science degree or a post-baccalaureate certificate. Factors considered in the selection of applicants include cumulative grade-point average, science and mathematics grade-point averages, communication skills, personal qualities such as maturity and career goals, letters of recommendation, and personal interview.
The admissions committee for the Radiation Therapy Program determines the admissibility of an applicant to the program in accordance with the quality of his or her credentials. The application process consists of submitting all application materials and attending an interview with the admissions committee. Post Baccalaureate certificate candidates must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and all prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better. In addition to the general admission requirements, applicants to the Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy degree program must satisfy the following requirements.
- Minimum of 60 semester hours of college credit, not including physical education or military science courses;
- Minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale;
- All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better;
- Radiation Therapy pre-requisite courses as specified below.
- All applicants are required to be core complete or TSI exempt prior to the first day of class.

Essential Functions (pending approval)
Each student in the Radiation Therapy Program must be able to:
- Participate in supervised clinical activities involving walking and standing for eight-hour days.
- Demonstrate sufficient visual acuity to monitor patients, input data, read computer monitors and distinguish markings in dim lighting.
- Demonstrate sufficient strength to lift, carry and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Distinguish and interpret audio signals from equipment.
- Communicate with patients in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrate sufficient upper and lower body strength to move, lift and transport patients.
