 In accordance with the Federalwide Assurance (FWA) on file with the Department of Health and Human Services, the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at UT Southwestern reviews and approves research involving human subjects that is conducted at Children's Medical Center, Parkland Health and Hospital System, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, The Retina Foundation of the Southwest, and Richardson Regional Medical Center. The Board must also review and approve all research supported by grants and contracts involving human subjects conducted at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center for which a member of the faculty at UT Southwestern serves as principal investigator.
