This service obtains cholesterol, triglycerides, and fatty acid composition levels from tissue.  The tissue MUST be frozen immediately once they are extracted from the animal, and 100-200 mg are needed to run the test for all three analytes.  Please cut the tissue when it is frozen and place in 16 x 1 ml glass tubes (supplied by the core).  Do not thaw to cut.  Turn around time is 2-3 days.  Scheduling in advance is required.

Price is $18 per sample for cholesterol, and $18 per sample for triglycerides.

Provide weights of the tissues to three significant figures in grams and a list of the genotypes of the samples.

For questions and scheduling, please contact Hiva Pourarsalan

After scheduling, if you need to drop off your prepared samples when Hiva is not present, please be sure cover the tissue samples with foil and place them in the -20° in L5.108.
