Applications will consist of the applicant's CV and a statement of career goals and expectations.  For those candidates who have already identified and contacted a faculty mentor, a brief description of the applicants research plan endorsed by the faculty mentor will also be required.  In addition, letters of recommendation will be considered.

Applications will be received until January 2, of each year, and awards will commence on July 1, of the same year.  The initial interview will be with Dr. Fiemu Nwariaku, followed by an interview with the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee will review the criteria of each qualifying applicant and their dedication to an academic career.  Dr. Fiemu Nwariaku, the Program Director, will inform the most qualified two candidates of their acceptance into this fellowship program by April 15th of each year.
