Network Folder Details

UT Southwestern allots space on the Mednet servers for students and classes on the O: Drive. This space can be used to store files or archived e-mail. Class folders are public and personal folders are private and can only be viewed by the owners.

  • Personal folder: The personal folder corresponds to the user's SouthwesternID and only the specific user has rights to this folder. Files saved here are private and not viewable by others. This folder will hold up to 3GB of space, including any archived e-mail.
  • Class/school folders: Folders corresponding to classes or schools are labeled accordingly. For example, the medical students' shared folder begins with MS and then includes the year of expected graduation (MS2010). The UT Southwestern School of Health Professionals' group folder is simply SHP. Group folders hold up to 25GB of space.
