In addition to their clinical interests, several members of the faculty of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery also conduct basic scientific research in various fields of interest. The latter range from the biomechanical analysis of implants and their interface with living tissue to the in vitro study of cultured cell lines and the influence of external external forces thereupon.
