M.D., with Distinction in International Health
UT Southwestern Medical School students who satisfying the IMEP requirements (completion of six months of core clerkships at University of Paris Descartes followed by six months of international health experience in a "lesser developed country" (LDC) may apply to be recognized at graduation and awarded a diploma as a Doctor of Medicine, with Distinction in International Health.
Students must make a formal application to the program. They may do so upon acceptance to UT Southwestern or at other specified times provided this is done before January 1st of the year in which the IMEP will begin, and at least two years prior to the year of the anticipated graduation date (e.g. by December 31, 2009 for an expected May 2011 graduation).
