Elective opportunities include both Clinical and Research experiences. Unique clinical experiences are available in the subspecialties of Cardiology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Infectious disease, Hematology-Oncology, Nephrology, Allergy and Immunology, Endocrinology, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Dermatology and more. Mentorships
Each intern will have the opportunity to select a mentor upon starting internship training. This faculty member is one who has expressed interest in assisting an Internal Medicine trainee with career development and possible fellowship planning during the next phase of their training. As a resident determines their future goals, opportunities exist to select additional mentors within a given subspecialty.
