Acknowledging Support for Undergraduate and Medical Students Conducting Research

It is anticipated that the work supported by this grant will in many instances lead to abstract or manuscript publication. In these instances, the manuscript or abstract should acknowledge the support of "T35-DK066141".

NIHLBI T-35:

It is anticipated that the work supported by this grant will in many instances lead to abstract or manuscript publication. In these instances, the manuscript or abstract should acknowledge the support of "T35-HL086346".

UT Southwestern Undergraduate Medical Research (UT-SUMR) Fellows Program:

This is the small undergraduate program that supports highly selected undergraduate researchers. It is anticipated that the work supported by this grant will in many instances lead to abstract or manuscript publication. In these instances, the manuscript or abstract should acknowledge the support of the "UT-SUMR Fellows Program".

UT Southwestern Summer Medical Student Research Program:

This program is supported by the UT SOuthwestern administration.  It is anticipated that the work conducted by participating students will in many instances lead to abstract or manuscript publication. In these instances, the manuscript or abstract should acknowledge the support of the "UT Southwestern Summer Medical Student Research Program".

Doris Duke Clinical Research Program:

Most students in the Doris Duke program successfully complete one or more projects, leading to authorship of manuscripts and abstracts. It is important to remember to cite the support of the Doris Duke fellow in the acknowledgements. 

When acknowledging the foundation in any public document, the most important requirement from the perspective of the Doris Duke foundation is that the foundation’s complete name is used ("Doris Duke Charitable Foundation"). To acknowledge the foundation in a publication by a Doris Duke fellow, state that "<fellow’s name> is a recipient of a Clinical Research Fellowship from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation".
