The Lung Cancer Disease Oriented Team is comprised of all of the medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists as well as the clinical research staff who work primarily with lung cancer patients. The focus of the team is to monitor the ongoing clinical trials with regards to accrual and patient safety as well as the study pipeline. Regular Meetings - Located in Moncrief Radiation Oncology Building (North Campus), room NF3.102

At monthly meetings, all members gather to discuss current, pending, and new potential clinical trials with a primary focus of lung cancer. The team reviews the safety of patients on trials, specifically by reviewing any severe adverse events that may be related to study treatment and all serious adverse events that occur on a patient on study. This is done in such a way that trends among studies and/or patients can be tracked and decisions regarding the continuation or discontinuation of a trial can be made if appropriate.

These meetings also serve as a forum for discussion of other issues that affect the team, including but not limited to patient issues, broader clinic support issues, and translational or other research projects.

Monthly Meetings: Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 4:30pm CST
