Scientific innovations are altering clinical research and practice in a profound way at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. The special mission of a matrix cancer center is to bring new knowledge and technology into the fight against cancer. This requires fostering multidisciplinary collaborations and increasing the cancer focus of premiere investigators in basic science, translational, and clinical research. Working in a collaborative environment these groups share new knowledge and core resources.
