GI rounds 100 The Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases offers many educational programs. Foremost among these is the division's fellowship program. The fellowship program provides training in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases.

The intellectual environment is one that fosters understanding of the pathogenesis and natural history of these diseases as well as evidence-based clinical therapeutics. Fellows may enter one of several tracks.

The faculty are highly active in undergraduate, graduate and continuing education at UT Southwestern Medical School and its affiliated hospitals. Use the links on the left to view more about our faculty. Each year, a faculty member at UT Southwestern is chosen by the fellows as recipient of the Lyman E. Bilhartz M.D. Memorial Teaching Award in recognition of teaching excellence.
