The majority of the clinical training takes place at Parkland Memorial Hospital* (upper picture), The Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center* (middle picture), and the University Hospitals* (St Paul and Zale Lipshy - lower picture). Click on the hospital name for details (link opens in new browser window). In addition, rotations at Presbyterian Medical Center of Dallas provide additional clinical experiences in management of inflammatory bowel disease and pancreatic and biliary diseases.

All trainees are responsible for ongoing care of patients in continuity clinics (Parkland Gastroenterology Clinic, Parkland Liver Clinic, and VA Digestive Diseases Clinic) and attend on average 6 half-day continuity clinic sessions per month. Additional outpatient experience in management of pre- and post-liver transplantation patients and therapy of viral hepatitis is provided as part of advanced hepatology rotations.
