| How To Place An On-Line Catering Order For All Vendors:
Follow these instructions for using OAS to place your order.
- From the OAS menu, go to Forms, then IDC.
- Enter all information as requested on the IDC form
- Please note that "Delivery" is the actual location where you want your order to be dropped off and not necessarily your office location. If you will be picking up your order, please state so in the body of the order.
- Type the items you are requesting in the body of the order. Also, in order to ensure that we have all the correct information, retype the date, location, and time of delivery in the body of the order.
- For an order to be received on-line by the Catering Department, it must be submitted and completed through the approval cycle by 12:00 p.m., 48 hours prior to your function. Additionally, in order for the Catering Department to provide the best possible service, please submit your orders as far in advance as possible. For larger orders, please try to allow at least one and a half to two weeks notice. Please note that until your order is in the "Approved" status, it will not enter our system. For last minute, emergency orders, call the Catering Department (x88614). If at all possible, we will accommodate your request.
- Once your order is in the "Approved" status, it will be received by our department. We will then put the order "In Process" and add it to our pending list. You will receive notification via e-mail that your order is now in the "In Process" status. Because we must sometimes allow room for both computer and human error, it is still a good idea to call the Catering Department (x88614) the day before your function to ensure that everything is in order.
- If you would prefer for your order to come from one of the food court vendors, please specify the vendor in the body of your order and follow the same instructions as above. You may call the food court vendors directly in order to obtain one of their menus, or to ask any questions about delivery, etc. However, please keep in mind that all catering orders, regardless of whether they come from the Catering Department or from a food court vendor, must be placed through the Catering Department because of billing procedures.
- The demographic make-up of a function is an important item to include in your order. For instance, for a group of hungry male students meeting at 7:00 a.m., dainty mini bakery items will probably not suffice. You may include the demographic information in the body of your order, or in a memo attached to the form. Feel free to call the Catering Department if you have questions concerning the number or types of items to order for a specific type of function.
- The number of guests attending a function may be adjusted up to 48 hours prior to the event by calling the Catering Department (x88614). For shorter notices, we will accommodate your requests if at all possible. For additional guests at short notice, menu substitutions may be necessary. The number of covers charged will be the guaranteed number or the number of guests served, whichever is greater.
