| Training for Research Personnel
As a service for the departments, a second day of orientation for research is offered on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. This will allow new research staff to take necessary training before entering the laboratory environment and will satisfy most of the education requirements that need to be met before any employee can be added to a human or animal research protocol. If your job involves work with or exposure to research animals or animals wastes, human subjects or human specimens/data, or hazardous laboratory materials, we encourage you to attend a second day of orientation tailored specifically to the needs of research personnel. If you are an existing employee who wants to attend for additional training, please obtain permission from your supervisor and enroll.
