SAGE Intrinsic Aging: A Histological Perspective: Skin Module takes home Product of the Year. The module, developed by Judith Head, PhD. Amit Shah, MD, and illustrator Lindsay Oksenberg fills a wide gap in content knowledge and is the first of a series of highly interactive web-based modules being developed by the Geriatrics SAGE team.

Geriatricians Lynne Kirk, M.D. and Kathryn Eubank, M.D. receive 2010 Teaching Awards
Dr. Kirk received the Distinguished Clinical Science Educator Award of the Year.
Dr. Eubank received the MS4 Core Clerkship Teaching Award.

Roopali Gupta, M.D., awarded a prestigious HRSA Geriatric Academic Career Award
Dr. Gupta is a geriatrician clinician educator. Her grant, “Teaching interprofessional learners an individualized approach for geriatric preventive medicine,” is a 5-year award which proposes development and implementation of novel interprofessional curriculum addressing the complexities of providing preventive medicine to older adults.

Ramona Rhodes, M.D., MPH, received a 2010 Merck/AGS New Investigator Award
Dr. Rhodes is a geriatrician clinician researcher with a focus on racial disparities in hospice use and end-of-life care. The New Investigator Awards are awarded to individuals whose original research, as presented in a submitted abstract, reflects new and relevant research in geriatrics, and are designed to recognize individuals who are committed to a career in aging research.

Craig Rubin, M.D., received a 2009 John A. Hartford Senior Geriatrics Leadership Scholars Award
Dr. Rubin is one of five accomplished academic geriatricians nationwide to receive a prestigious 2009 John A. Hartford Senior Geriatrics Leadership Scholars Award. The program is designed to provide these leaders with the tools to “shape the future of medicine and enhance the health of the aging population.”
