Decals
Your parking decal must be displayed properly for admittance to your designated lot/garage. Decals should be placed on the left (drivers) side of the rear window. Exceptions may be convertibles, pickups with campers, and dark film-tinted windows, in which case decals will be displayed on the left side front windshield over the inspection sticker and license renewal. Citations may be issued for failure to display decals properly. Decals must be adhered permanently. Decals may not be taped to the window. Please remove all old decals.

Gate Entry Controls
The University ID card is used to enter all controlled areas.  This card will access assigned parking area only. A coin/token acceptor is in place at the exit of the School for Allied Health Sciences garage.

Overflow Parking
The purchase of a parking permit DOES NOT GUARANTEE a space in your assigned facility will always be available. Should your normal parking location be full, use the intercom at the gate to ask for parking instructions from police dispatch. They will instruct you where overflow parking is available. During the normal course of business, the following parking facility sequences will be used:
Lot #7 (Visitor's Lot): Hospital parking across from Aston Medical Center (5303 Harry Hines).
Lot #1: NA/NB and shuttle to South Campus.
Garage #2: Garage #3, available street parking, or Garage 11 and shuttle to South Campus.
Garage #3: Available street parking, Garage 11, and shuttle to South Campus.
NA/NB/NC/NG, NK: Lot 16, Garage 11 or available parking on the South Campus (Street parking West Campus Drive) and shuttle to North Campus. Parkers who opt for the Garage 11 may walk to the Chase Bank building shuttle bus stop; or may cross Harry Hines Boulevard and wait at the CB1 Building shuttle bus stop, or walk to North Campus. There are no legitimate reasons for parking illegally.

Temporary Parking Permits
Temporary parking permits are available at the Visitors Information Center located on the plaza of our South Campus. These permits are for use when a rental/loan vehicle is being used temporarily while the primary registered vehicle with Parking Services is out of service or not in use. The permits are issued for a specific date frame and specific location. These are to be displayed on the dashboard facing out at all times while that vehicle is parked on campus.  If you currently have parking with the University and you are driving a rented or borrowed car, there is no charge for a temporary parking permit and you may park in your usual location.

Hangtags are available for $25.00 per month for temporary employees. These hangtags allow the purchaser to park in Garage 3, Lot 4, Garage 11, and Lot 16.

Parking for Special Events
Parking on the campus is limited. We request that any department or related institution which is planning a meeting or conference at the institution during normal work hours (M-F, 7:30 AM-5 PM) call the Scheduling Coordinator (SchedulingCoordinator@utsouthwestern.edu) , (214) 648-9393 to make arrangements in advance.

Street Parking
Street parking is available where authorized. A VALID UT SOUTHWESTERN DECAL IS REQUIRED TO PARK IN THESE AREAS.

Delivery Personnel
Delivery personnel should be directed to the proper dock area. There is a 30 minute limit on deliveries in dock areas. No deliveries will be made using the plaza without written approval (including food, flowers, etc.). Deliveries requiring more than 30 minutes should park in the Visitor's Lot.

Standard Parking Spaces
Parking spaces do not include compact designations. For the safety and protection of your vehicle, most spaces are striped for head-in parking with adequate width to accommodate a standard-sized vehicle. Do not back into stalls angled to the driving lane. Park wholly within the marked space. Park only with the flow of traffic where parallel parking is allowed.

Plaza and Plaza Apron Parking
Without prior written approval from Administration, parking is not allowed in these areas. Unauthorized parking may result in parking citations.

Reserved for Official Guests
These spaces for the exclusive use of the president's office. Unauthorized parking may result in parking citations.

Pre-Registration
Pre-registration for the new fiscal year will be available for all faculty, administrative, and professional personnel, staff, and students. Return the appropriate form along with your check or money order payable to UT Southwestern to the Parking Services Department, Mail Code 9026. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL CASH. Allow at least 5 or more working days for the return of your decal.

Terminal Clearance
Gate cards, decals, and DART Passes must accompany terminal clearance forms. Unreturned gate cards will result in a $55.00 deduction from parking refunds if any. Terminal clearance for parking is processed in the Visitor Information Center.
