Where can Patients  Park on Campus?

South Campus – Lot #7:

A parking facility for patients is located adjacent to the faculty garage. The visitors lot (Lot # 7) includes a cashier/information booth.  The first 30 minutes are free. 31 minutes up to two hours, the rate is $2, with an additional charge of $1 per hour, to a maximum of $5 per day.

James W. Aston Ambulatory Care Center Patient Parking:

Hours of operation for patient parking are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p. m., Monday through Friday. Patients have two options for parking. Parking in front of the Aston Center is valet only. The valet parking rate is $5.00 for patients.  Handicap patients needing assistance unloading or loading should utilize the valet service located in front of the Aston Center.

Valet discount coupon books may be purchased at the cashier's desk of the Aston, Zale-Lipshy, Seay, and St. Paul valet locations.  Each book contains 5 coupons, at a cost of $20.00 per book.  That is a $1.00 savings each visit.

Patients also may utilize the commercial self-park lot located across Harry Hines from the Aston Center. There is a shuttle that will transport patients from the commercial lot to Aston Center and back. Patients will be issued a complimentary coupon from the Doctor’s Office which is to be validated by the clinic for free parking on the lot.  The cost is $5 upon exiting the lot and/or without validation.

St. Paul Hospital:

Patient parking is provided in front of the hospital (East Parking Lot) and in the Physician Office Buildings (POB) garage at the rate of $3.  Valet parking is available for $5 at the Record Crossing entrance, under the awning adjacent to the POB garage.

Motorcycles:  Park in regular spaces.

How can I Avoid a Parking Ticket?

  • Each surface lot/garage is signed at the entrance and further restrictions are usually designated within the lot.
  • Permits are required in all surface lots and garages from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F
  • Some spaces are available in surface lots and garages after 5:00 pm unless otherwise designated by signs.  (Caution: Read signs carefully)
  • Understanding Signs & Curbs
  • Parking signs are frequently posted or changed to meet the needs of the community, so nearby signs should be read carefully each time when parking
  • Many areas have spaces reserved “At All Times”
  • Visitor parking is not allowed in “AT ALL TIMES” or Decal permit required spaces
  • Be aware of signs indicating event parking disruptions
