UT Southwestern's Lowe Foundation Center for Women's Preventative Health Care is a model for the advancement of care for the peri- and postmenopausal woman. With the average life expectancy of about 79 years, the typical American woman will live one third of her life after menopause. Menopause thus offers a tremendous opportunity to initate preventative and life-extending health care. Using a multidisciplinary physician team, the Lowe Foundation Women's Center is designed to coordinate the preventative and disease-related health care needs of peri- and postmenopausal women.
