Welcome to the Physician Referral Home Page

Steven L. Bloom, M.D.
Professor and Chairman

For more than 50 years, UT Southwestern’s obstetrician gynecologists have been acknowledged for their contributions to women’s health care and their commitment to the compassionate delivery of quality care to all patients.

We are recognized for our dedication to evidence-based medicine as well as our clinical research for the National Institutes of Health.

Our faculty members are responsible for the largest obstetrics and gynecology training program in the nation with approved positions for 80 residents and 17 subspecialty ABOG fellows.   We have lectured widely and authored several major OB/Gyn textbooks – including Williams Obstetrics, Williams Gynecology, and Essential Reproductive Medicine.

Our physicians are as devoted to helping women maintain optimal health and well being and treating their health-care problems as they are to helping our referring physicians provide optimal patient care.

Our Commitment to Referring Physicians

We make a commitment to referring physicians to communicate patient progress and outcomes as well as to return patients to you upon completion of treatment.

We will also consult with you on available treatment options for your patients.

Steven L. Bloom, M.D.

Office hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. weekdays

After hours & holidays, you can reach the physician on-call at 214-645-3838.

We offer both consultative and referral services that address the full spectrum of women’s health issues, including complex obstetrical and gynecological problems.

Outpatient care is delivered in a private-practice setting on the UT Southwestern campus.  Inpatient services are performed at UT Southwestern’s University Hospitals as well as at our affiliated partner hospitals, Parkland Memorial Hospital and Children’s Medical Center
