Emergencies

A 24-hour answering service is provided for our patients. Your call will be answered by one of our faculty members or resident physicians.

If you have a problem that you feel is an emergency or life threatening, please call 911 immediately.

Our physicians treat emergencies in UT Southwestern University Hospital-St. Paul's emergency room. You may request that the paramedics transport you to University Hospital-St. Paul.

If you cannot be transported to University Hospital-St. Paul, please tell the emergency-room physician that you are a patient of UT Southwestern and would like to be transferred to University Hospital-St. Paul when you are stable. The physician treating you will notify the Obstetrics & Gynecology doctor-on-call, who will arrange for your transfer if you need to be admitted for further care.
