WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed for physicians, neuroscientists and other health professionals who are interested in genetics of Alzheimer's and other dementing diseases.

PURPOSE AND CONTENT
This course is designed to update health care professionals in the filed of neuro-genetic research on the advancements and recent discoveries of Alzheimer's disease.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Review the basic principles of neurogenetics that apply to Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
  • Discuss new research strategies to determine genetic polymorphisms and risk factors for Alzheimer's disease.
  • Describe potential molecular therapies for the dementias based on recent developing genetic data.
