Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (08-15)

Visiting students selecting a rotation within the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) will assist in operative procedures, see clinic and private practice patients, and attend didactic conferences.
Externs will learn the basic concepts of urodynamic evaluation. Additionally, students will learn peri-operative management from Wednesday case conference, Parkland clinic and ward rounds.

The volume of patient care at the three on-campus hospitals (Parkland Memorial Hospital and University Hospitals - St. Paul and Zale Lipshy) will provide the extern with a diverse enough experience to make an accurate and objective assessment of the field of Urogynecology.
