The clinical training curriculum of the UT Southwestern Medical School includes coursework in the elemental disciplines necessary to understand human disease at the level of cellular physiology and biochemistry. In addition, students practice and hone clinical skills within a large complex of hospitals that include Parkland Memorial Hospital, the Dallas County hospital serving the entire community, and one of the nation's busiest health facilities. This array of facilities affords the student wide-ranging training and direct hands-on experience in all of today's serious health problems.
