Our role as advocates and ambassadors for UT Southwestern University Hospital - St. Paul is essential. Yet it is to the greater Dallas philanthropic community – past, present and future – to whom we are responsible. It is to their light we hold our decisions, for they built St. Paul. They have been her patients, donors, medical staff, board members, employees, vendors and volunteers.

With roots going back to 1967, St. Paul Medical Foundation is dedicated to advancing, through philanthropy, excellent and innovative patient care at UT Southwestern University Hospital – St. Paul, honoring the religious heritage of the hospital, and promoting the role of faith and religion in medicine.
In January 2005, the Foundation merged with the St. Paul Fund for Advanced Heart and Lung Disease, a sister nonprofit with which it had worked closely to promote the nationally acclaimed heart and lung program at the St. Paul facility. The newly strengthened foundation now continues to support world-class heart and lung care, and advance research and education by raising funds for the new Heart, Lung and Vascular Center of Excellence at UT Southwestern University Hospital - St. Paul.
In order to provide broad-based support for the center, a new group formed in 2005 called Friends of the Heart, Lung and Vascular Center. Membership benefits include the opportunity to attend outstanding presentations by leading experts on the latest advances in heart, lung and vascular research, as well as disease treatment and prevention.
Also supporting the new center are two exciting annual events: a traditional evening gala known as Legends, and a golf tournament called the St. Paul Transplant Tee. The October 2007 gala featured a wonderful live performance by Jay Leno at The Majestic Theatre and the 2008 tournament is scheduled for a beautiful new venue - Northwood Golf Club - on April 28th.
For more information about the Transplant Tee or membership in the Friends of the Heart, Lung and Vascular Center, please call (214) 645-1000, or stop by the Foundation offices located on the third floor of UT Southwestern University Hospital - St. Paul, 5909 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75390-9243.
