For the first meeting of the new school year, Jessica Reading discussed the many different health careers including Child life Specialist and Biochemical engineer. She also shared very interesting stories! Plus we had a hands-on phlebotomy activity (drawing blood from a mannequin arms), trying to catch a ball while using drunk goggles [its harder than it sounds!], and a fun and eye-opening hand washing activity.  With all this and more we, the explorers, began an exciting year! :)
