The Biostatistics and Research Design Core has extensive experience in the design and analysis of translational, clinical, and epidemiologic studies. The Core will provide investigators assistance in the design (including sample size estimations and power calculations) and statistical analyses of their research projects. The Core will provide critical methodologies guidance and expertise to clinical and translational investigators at all phases of their clinical and translational research projects regardless of their level of training or their ability to defray the costs of such support. 

The Core will provide consultations to:

• Early career researchers with little experience and few resources.
• Investigators who are planning pilot projects in uncharted areas and who need to overcome the obstacles inherent in translational research.
• Researchers whose work requires multidisciplinary development and integration of novel research and analytical methods.
• Investigators who are planning for extramural grant applications.

The Core has great expertise in assisting investigators with grants applications including Center Grants and Program Project grants.
