Reverend Peter Johnson, Civil Rights Leader, joined the Civil Rights Movement in 1958 after meeting Mrs. Rosa Parks. He attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he became nationally known as a student leader. He was a member of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference founded by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and he became the youngest man on Dr. King’s original staff. Today Rev. Johnson continues his work for non-violence and Civil Rights.
