The Survivorship course is patterned after the Cancer Survival Toolbox developed to educate cancer survivors and their caregivers.  It assists everyone with a history of cancer to become a self-advocate and includes the ability to understand information, find appropriate resources and therapy and to make informed choices about treatment.

Attendance at all four sessions is not required.  Participants may come to one or all of the sessions offered, although attendance at all sessions is encouraged.

Coordinated by an oncology nurse, sessions will include speakers with expertise in oncology social work, psychology and financial assistance.

Session 1:            Communicating Well and Finding Information

Session 2:            Making Decisions and Solving Problems

Session 3:            Negotiating Skills and Insurance

Session 4:            Standing Up for Your Rights

Pre-Registration is required. Please refer to our calendar of events for course schedule.

For Registration call 817 838-4860.
