A process is in place for expedited reviews; the SHUR committee can have approval or stipulations to the PI within 24 hours of the initial submission.  Studies are expedited on a case by case basis.

Request an expedited review

1. Call the SHUR liaison requesting a study to be expedited.  Please be prepared to explain the need for an expedited review.
2. Submit all the paperwork for review

Approval slow downs

1. Paperwork not provided to the SHUR liaison
2. Request to expedite made late in the day (3pm or later)
3. Request to expedite made near a holiday
4. Study coordinator not responding to stipulations in a timely manner.
