The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Virology Laboratory has been in operation since 1970. This Laboratory services Parkland Health and Hospital System, Aston Ambulatory Care Center, Children Medical Center at Dallas, St Paul Hospital, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Zale-Lipshy University Hospital and other Dallas and Ft. Worth hospitals. The laboratory is located in the Y Building, 7th floor, room 224. Annually around 16,000 tests are performed. Our staff is always ready to assist and quality patient care is our top priority.
Laboratory hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. During closed hours, the Supervisor can be reached by beeper. Provisions have been made to store samples that are delivered after hours.
