UT Southwestern's neurosciences program draws upon strong multidisciplinary representation from leading physicians and researchers in neurophysiology, neuroradiology and neurosurgery. Our specialists are widely respected by their peers as authorities in using the most advanced procedures available for the treatment of all types of neurovascular and neuromuscular disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and neurological cancer.

By combining attentive, compassionate care with state-of-the-art clinical and research resources, UT Southwestern provides you with a level of comprehensive care unavailable at other health-care facilities. We are dedicated to becoming partners with you in evaluating and selecting the right course of action for your particular neurological condition.

Our physicians have the extensive knowledge and expertise that comes from carefully evaluating and effectively treating thousands of patients within an environment that is home to one of the preeminent research institutions for the study and treatment of all types of neurological disorders. Just some of the highlights from our neurosciences program include:

  • UT Southwestern pioneered the use of advanced aneurysm treatments that have become standards in the treatment of patients who have experienced a stroke. Our neurosurgeons perform more aneurysm procedures than any other health-care facility in the nation.

  • The National Association of Epilepsy Centers, which evaluates medical facilities on a regional, national and international basis, has designated UT Southwestern as a fourth-level epilepsy center, which is the highest level designated by the foundation.

  •  The Annette G. Strauss Center for Neuro-oncology, the cornerstone of UT Southwestern's neurological cancer research, is dedicated to improving the treatments available for patients - on an inpatient and outpatient basis - as well as conducting research aimed at a better understanding of tumors involving the central nervous system, including tumors of the brain and spinal-cord.

UT Southwestern's emphasis on multidisciplinary medicine offers you access to some of the most advanced neurological treatments available in the world. Our neuroscience specialists have the knowledge and expertise to precisely determine the best course of action for your particular diagnosis and treatment, and we offer you the most advanced health-care options within a caring and compassionate environment.
