UT Southwestern is a national leader in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy. We have the experience and the advanced medical knowledge required to effectively treat all of the various types of epilepsy that occur, whether the illness is first diagnosed in early childhood, adulthood or advancing age.

Epilepsy research conducted at UT Southwestern consistently achieves results that make important contributions in the lives of many individuals diagnosed with the disorder. Some of the most advanced diagnostic techniques and treatments available in the world today are practiced at UT Southwestern.

We continually investigate how current and newly developed medications can be used to help our patients effectively maintain control of their seizures. In addition, UT Southwestern’s neurosurgeons are recognized by their peers as experts at using surgery to bring seizures under control if medications fail to do so.
