Fellows Publications and presentations have involved multiple subjects, including but not limited to:

    • Growth factor signaling
    • Maternal and fetal placental blood flow, cardiovascular development, smooth muscle development and function
    • Control of pulmonary vascular development and function and pathogenesis of chronic lung disease
    • Mechanisms of lung injury
    • Hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) and its role in inflammation and endothelial function
    • Fetal and neonatal cardiovascular development and physiology
    • Neonatal resuscitation in animal models and in neonates
    • Cardiovascular, hormonal and inflammatory changes associated with delivery
    • Mechanisms modulating blood pressure and evolution of blood pressure in preterm infants
    • Controlled clinical trials in neonatology and pharmacology
    • Neonatal infection
    • Effects of care on long term outcome
    • Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, prevention and diagnosis of neurologic sequelae in high-risk infants
    • Relationship between antepartum events and neonatal outcome

    •  Young Investigator Award for Basic Research, Southern Society for Pediatric Research: D.Nagar.  Estrogen increases expression of the β1-subunits of the large conductance calcium activated potassium channel in ovine uterine vascular and visceral smooth muscle.
